About the Galaxy Watch FE
Released June 2024 at $199, and the only Galaxy Watch sold in a single 40mm size. At 26.6g it is the lightest watch Samsung makes, which is the real argument for it if you have a small wrist or you sleep in your watch.
Be clear about what it is inside. The FE runs the Exynos W920 with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, exactly the same silicon as the 2021 Galaxy Watch 4. Its one hardware upgrade over that watch is sapphire crystal in place of Gorilla Glass. It still has ECG and body composition, which is remarkable at the price, but it has no temperature sensor and no dual-frequency GPS. It reached Wear OS 6 with One UI 8 Watch in December 2025 and remains on Samsung's quarterly security list.
