About the Galaxy Watch 4
The watch that moved Samsung off Tizen. Launched August 2021 at $249.99, it was the first Galaxy Watch to run Wear OS and the reason every Samsung watch since has carried the Play Store. The plain Watch 4 is aluminium with a touch bezel. The Watch 4 Classic is stainless steel and keeps the physical rotating bezel, still the best control on any Wear OS watch. Everything inside is the same.
Samsung ended software support in September 2026, five years after launch, having delivered four operating system upgrades. The watch finishes on Wear OS 6 with One UI 8 Watch, which is current software. Nothing switches off and it keeps pairing. What stops is new features and future security patches.

From the Play Store on the watch. If Google sign-in will not work there, Lynio sends the app across as a signed bundle over Wi-Fi instead.

Keep both on the same Wi-Fi, Bluetooth on, and leave the app open until pairing finishes.

Lynio needs Wear OS 3.0 or later. The Watch 4 finishes on Wear OS 6, three versions clear of that, so Samsung ending updates changes nothing about pairing.
